Dr Jeff Yun Huang joined ANFF-Qld in 2020 as a Senior Professional Officer. He provides instrument training, professional service, and technical support for all atomic force microscopes and confocal microscopes. His areas of expertise include surface chemistry and characterisation, colloidal science and nanotechnology, polymer chemistry and physics. Jeff received his PhD degree in Polymer Chemistry from Kyoto University, Japan, in 2014, where he developed and fabricated well-organised assemblies of functional particles grafted with polymer brushes. Since 2014, he has worked as a postdoctoral research fellow in AIBN and the School of Chemical Engineering, The University of Queensland. Jeff's research focused on the synthesis of photo-responsive block copolymers for nanostructure control, and applications using polymer brush afforded hybrid particles.
