To be eligible for ANFF‑C funding, applicants must:

Gate 1 Funding: Early Commercial Validation

Provides up to $35k to help applicants refine their commercial story and prepare for a substantial Gate 2 application. What it covers: Market research, business validation, financial modelling, and patent/landscape analysis. How it works: A fast review process where funds go directly to service providers, not applicants.

Gate 2 Funding: Strategic Execution

Provides up to $125k to help ventures execute the deeper activities required to become investment-ready or partnership-ready. The Focus: Shifting from Gate 1's business validation into deep technical, regulatory, and commercial execution. The Goal: Accelerating high-value strategic growth to secure major external investment or partnerships.

Following the interview, you work with the ANFF C team to:

Complete and submit application

Post funding outcomes

Funding can be used for

  • Commercialisation steps
  • Market and business validation
  • Strategic manufacturing, regulatory, and quality planning
  • Pre‑clinical and development‑stage work
  • Third‑party expertise and services

Funding cannot be used for

  • Salaries
  • Research activities
  • Access to ANFF equipment
  • IP filing costs (though IP strategy work is allowed)
