Gurpreet Singh Gill received his B.Tech. and M.Tech. degrees in electronics and communication engineering. He completed his Ph.D. in micro-electronics within the Microelectronics Research Group at The University of Western Australia (UWA) in 2022. He is currently working as a Postdoctoral Research Associate within the same group. Before commencing his Ph.D. at the UWA, he worked as a Senior Research Fellow and Research Trainee at the Central Electronics Engineering Research Institute, Pilani, India. He is currently leading research activities in the area of MEMS/NEMS and his current research activities involve thin-film materials and mechanics, optical MEMS, optoelectronic devices and Infrared sensing and imaging as well as their applications.
