Mark joined ANFF-Qld as a Process Development Engineer in 2025. Mark provides technical support for microfabrication processes and equipment, ensuring the ANFF-Qld cleanroom at the University of Queensland operates efficiently and meets high standards. His role also includes process development, troubleshooting, and maintenance of various nanofabrication tools and systems. Mark earned his PhD in Nanoscience and Technology from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in 2015. He then spent nine years as a postdoctoral researcher across Hong Kong, Saudi Arabia, and at the Australian National University, specialising in research on solar energy conversion, sensors, and advanced coatings. He has extensive expertise in nanofabrication processes, including thin-film deposition, etching techniques, and photolithography.
