Yan is a PhD candidate in the School of Engineering at the University of Western Australia, working under the supervision of Professor Lorenzo Faraone and Professor Dilusha Silva. Her research focuses on Microelectromechanical Systems (MEMS), with a particular emphasis on developing large-area MEMS structures for tunable optical filters. This work holds significant potential for advancing infrared sensing technologies, which have seen remarkable progress over recent decades.
