Sherman is the lab custodian for the CSIRO micro-CT lab on the Clayton campus (ANFF-Vic Node). Micro-CT (computed tomography) is a non-destructive x-ray characterisation technique that creates 3D images. He applies this technique over a range of fields, including manufactured parts, rocks and minerals, and food and agriculture.
