Deneb Space advances autonomous satellite technology with ANFF-C support

ANFF-C is excited to announce that Deneb Space has been awarded Gate 2 pre-seed funding to support the commercialisation of its novel autonomous satellite technology.

Deneb Space is making satellites smarter from the moment they reach orbit. Its autonomous system combines flight-proven magnetic torquers (Deneb eMag), sensors and control algorithms to detect unstable motion and stabilise spacecraft instantly. Rapid response means antennas and solar panels deploy faster and allow missions to start without delay. ANFF-NSW’s advanced PCB printing played a key role in early hardware prototyping, and its magnetic materials expertise helped refine the eMag hardware supply chain. The tech has already proven itself in space on two Australian CubeSat missions: CUAVA-2 and Waratah Seed-1.

Development of this state-of-the-art technology was enabled through collaboration with ANFF-NSW. ANFF-C funding will support Deneb Space to develop a manufacturing capability enabling the company to deliver satellite stabilisation solutions to commercial customers.

Gate 2 funding is designed to help ANFF-enabled ventures take the next steps towards market adoption. Through support of up to $135,000, recipients can access the specialist services needed to address commercialisation challenges and strengthen their readiness for future investment or partnerships. Working alongside each awardee, ANFF-C Director John Morrison helps identify the tailored support activities that best align with the company’s commercial objectives.

The Deneb Space award highlights ANFF’s commitment to supporting innovators beyond the research phase and into commercial deployment. ANFF and ANFF-C look forward to following the company’s continued growth as it develops technologies that support Australia’s expanding space sector.
