Dr Javaid Khan

Dr Javaid Khan obtained his PhD in Bio-polymers from Queensland University of Technology, Brisbane, in 2008. He received his Master's degree in Chemistry at the K.F. University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM), Dhahran, KSA. Javaid worked as a Research Scientist for more than 10 years in the area of polymer degradation and stabilisation in the Centre for Refining and Petrochemicals at the Research Institute of KFUPM. He has worked on many client-funded research projects in the area of polymers. He has also published more than 32 papers in refereed journals and conferences. He joined ANFF-Qld in January 2011 and is now working as a polymer characterisation expert. He is responsible for many sophisticated instruments and performs training, data analysis and method development of various kinds of polymer and bio-materials on these instruments. He holds expertise in GPC, HPLC, ellipsometry, thermal analysis and vibrational spectroscopy instruments for analysing various types of polymeric materials. Javaid is also a member of the Royal Australian Chemical Institute polymer division.
