Paul Pasic is a senior experimental scientist in the Biomaterial Polymer group in CSIRO Manufacturing. His main interests are solving problems involving the surface modification of biomedical materials and the interactions of material surfaces with cells, biomolecules and tissues. He is a specialist in surface modification methods and has co-invented technologies that have been used to secure valuable contracts. During his time at CSIRO he has worked on some long running projects with companies such as with CibaVision / Novartis on the extended wear contact lens project and with Mesoblast Pty Ltd on surfaces for mesenchymal stem cell proliferation. He is the capability manager for surface coatings within the Biomedical Materials Translational Facility (BMTF) where he leads projects.
